Yasmin proved that her appearance in the Calvin Klein show was not a fluke earlier today by walking in this year’s celeb-packed L’Oréal Paris fashion show. It was held on a 60-meter runway that floated on the Seine and featured contributions from the autumn/winter 2018 collections of numerous Paris-based designers. Yasmin wore Balmain.
Yasmin made a surprise appearance in the spring/summer 2019 Calvin Klein show, her first runway show in 4 years and first Calvin Klein show in over 25 years. (See more of Yasmin walking for Calvin Klein here.)
Artistic director and cinephile Raf Simons was inspired by the film Jaws, with models walking on a blood-red catwalk sporting wet hair, t-shirts, wetsuits and red beanies like those of the film’s protagonist. He also made a nod to another cult film, The Graduate, in the form of mortarboards, oversized blazers, and dresses worthy of Mrs. Robinson.
She joined 90s-era British model Stella Tennant and today’s it-girls Kaia Gerber, Lineisy Montero, and Binx Walton.
The Calvin Klein label is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, having been founded in 1968.
